Description

Enaex Australia is seeking an experienced, pragmatic and commercially minded Senior HR Advisor to join our People team. Based in Perth in our new office, this role supports our geographically dispersed operational workforce and includes regular travel to our sites.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this is a genuine senior operational HR role with the autonomy to manage complex people matters, provide trusted ER/IR advice, coach leaders and take ownership of key HR projects and improvement initiatives.

You’ll work across a diverse operating environment spanning mining, manufacturing, mobile and field-based workforces, partnering directly with leaders to navigate employee relations, industrial instruments, organisational change, policy, compliance and workforce challenges.

We’re looking for someone who can balance commercial thinking with strong HR judgement. Someone who is comfortable having difficult conversations, can simplify complex employment matters and builds credibility through practical advice rather than simply quoting policy.

You’ll also play an important role in building leadership capability, strengthening HR governance and driving consistency in people practices across multiple operational locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical and commercially sound ER and IR advice, managing complex employee matters including investigations, grievances, performance, misconduct and disciplinary processes.
  • Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, Awards, employment legislation and HR policies, identifying and managing emerging people and industrial risks.
  • Coach leaders through difficult conversations, performance management, investigations, consultation obligations and broader people management challenges.
  • Lead the review and implementation of HR policies, procedures and governance frameworks, ensuring they remain practical, compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Support organisational change, enterprise bargaining activities and HR projects, taking ownership of assigned workstreams through to delivery.
  • Build strong relationships across operational sites, providing visible HR support while identifying opportunities to strengthen systems, processes and leadership capability.

Ideally you will have;

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Law or a related discipline.
  • Strong HR experience with significant exposure to Employee Relations and Industrial Relations within a complex operational environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee matters and interpreting Enterprise Agreements, Awards and Australian employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed, multi-site or unionised workforces, ideally within mining, resources, manufacturing, logistics or heavy industry.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills with the credibility and confidence to partner effectively with leaders at all levels.
  • Sound judgement, initiative and accountability, with the ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and travel regularly to operational sites.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE

  • True operational HR with exposure to real, complex and meaningful people matters
  • Autonomy and ownership to manage matters and projects from start to finish
  • Get out into the business and build genuine partnerships with leaders and site teams
  • Broaden your impact across ER/IR, change, policy, governance and HR projects
  • Shape leadership capability and contribute to how people practices are applied across Enaex

WHAT WE OFFER?

  • Competitive remuneration package designed to attract and retain top talent
  • Be part of a supportive, close-knit team with a positive and inclusive culture
  • Industry-leading growth and development opportunities to take your career to the next level
  • Work for a business where safety comes first, always our commitment to Zero Harm is non-negotiable
  • Access to discounted private health insurance (Bupa, Medibank, nib)
  • Novated leasing options plus exclusive deals on Ford vehicles
