SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
Key Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field (essential)
3–5 years’ generalist HR experience with exposure to employee relations, Fair Work compliance, and HR projects (essential)
Proven experience in managing ER/IR matters including investigations, case management, and disciplinary processes (essential)
Strong working knowledge of Fair Work legislation, Modern Awards, and industrial relations frameworks
Experience delivering HR projects, from policy updates to system and organisational change initiatives
Exceptional organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and reporting skills, including written documentation and investigation reports
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive matters
Proficiency in HRIS systems such as ELMO (desirable)
Willingness to travel to remote sites when required

Eastern Guruma is seeking a passionate and driven Senior Human Resources Officer (SHRO) to join our high-performing HR team. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with our Executive HR Business Partner (HRBP) to deliver strategic HR projects that shape the future of our organisation.
From policy development and system improvements to process enhancements and compliance initiatives – you’ll be at the heart of exciting, business-impacting work. You’ll also support with case management, investigations and disciplinary outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:As the Senior Human Resources Officer, you will:
Support strategic HR initiatives, including police & procedure reviews, system implementation, and compliance projects.
Provide secondary support to HR Advisors when needed, particularly in cases involving employee terminations or complex Fair Work matters.
Support in the absence of the Executive HRBP.
Manage Head Office ER/IR matters.
Ensure compliance, alignment with business objectives, and seamless communication across HR functions.
