SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (FULL-TIME)

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated Senior Human Resources Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in HR strategy, talent management, and compliance, with a proven track record in higher education or comparable institutions. This role is critical in shaping a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws, and supporting institutional growth through effective people management practices.
The Senior HR Officer will play a strategic role in HR planning, recruitment, employee relations, and policy implementation, ensuring that the university remains a supportive, compliant, and high-performing organization.If required, the candidate should also be able to contribute to academic-related HR support in collaboration with faculty and academic departments.

Qualifications & Skills RequiredEducational Requirements

  • Minimum: Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Professional HR certifications (CIPD, SHRM, CHRP, or equivalent)

Experience & Expertise

  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in higher education or similar institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws, HR compliance, and organizational policies.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and policy implementation

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Proficiency in HR software systems, payroll systems, and MS Office tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with a diverse workforce.
  • Problem-solving ability with sound judgment in employee relations and compliance matters.
  • High level of organization, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Leadership qualities with a collaborative, team-oriented approach

Responsibilities
  1. HR Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee all HR operational activities, including contracts, payroll, benefits administration, and personnel records.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, institutional policies, and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee files and ensure confidentiality of HR records.
  • Prepare HR reports, audits, and documentation for management and regulatory authorities.
  1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of faculty, staff, and administrative employees.
  • Develop workforce planning strategies aligned with academic and administrative needs.
  • Manage job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and hiring processes.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to ensure effective staffing solutions.
  1. Employee Engagement & Relations
  • Foster a positive work culture that encourages collaboration, inclusivity, and performance excellence.
  • Address employee grievances and resolve workplace issues in line with institutional policies.
  • Conduct staff satisfaction surveys and propose initiatives to enhance employee well-being.
  • Organize HR-driven workshops, training, and engagement activities.
  1. Performance Management & Professional Development
  • Implement performance evaluation systems and support leadership in staff appraisals.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
  • Promote career growth pathways and succession planning within the institution.
  • Support leadership in recognizing and rewarding staff contributions.
  1. Policy Development & Institutional Contribution
  • Draft, update, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and handbooks.
  • Support leadership in strategic HR planning for institutional growth.
  • Participate in committees, accreditation processes, and institutional audits.
  • Ensure HR practices align with best practices in higher education and international standards.
  1. Student Placement & Industry Collaboration
  • Establish and maintain relationships with companies and organizations for student internships and job placements.
  • Coordinate with academic departments to align placement opportunities with program outcomes.
  • Organize career fairs, recruitment drives, and employer engagement activities.
  • Support students with career guidance and professional readiness initiatives.
