JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Specialist with 5-8 years of relevant experience and a strong focus on recruitment, process improvement, onboarding, employee experience, and HR analytics. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving positive employee experiences while supporting the organization in developing and implementing efficient HR processes. A certification such as CPHR, SHRM, or RPR is preferred for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting top talent to meet the HeavyAero’s needs
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and develop recruitment strategies
  • Use data-driven approaches to streamline recruitment processes and improve time-to-fill metrics
  • Develop, manage and oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a positive experience and are quickly integrated into the company culture
  • Continuously improve onboarding and offboarding procedures for a seamless transition for both new hires and exiting employees
  • Identify opportunities to optimize HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and performance management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement process improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement and satisfaction through surveys, feedback sessions, and proactive initiatives
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns related to HR policies, procedures, and workplace culture
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to provide insights on workforce trends, recruitment performance, turnover rates, and employee engagement
  • Produce regular reports and dashboards to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement in HR practices

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of HR experience with a focus on recruitment, process improvement, and employee experience
  • Certification in CPHR, SHRM, or RPR is preferred
  • Proven experience with HR analytics and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong understanding of onboarding best practices and employee engagement strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and applicant tracking software (ATS)

Preferred:

  • Experience in a fast-paced or growing industry, aviation, MRO experience is an asset
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
