SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (HVAC)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC) to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of UAE-based experience in a design consultancy, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality HVAC designs across industrial, residential, commercial, and high-rise projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s is a plus)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in UAE in HVAC design within a consultancy
• In-depth knowledge of local codes and authority regulations (DM, DEWA, Trakhees, etc.)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Elite, Hevacomp, and other HVAC design tools
• Strong leadership, team collaboration, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Multidisciplinary project experience
• Client-facing and project coordination experience
• LEED, Estidama, or other sustainability certification (optional but preferred)

Experience:

• HVAC Design: 9 years (Required)
• Design Consultancy in UAE: 7 years (Required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design and development of HVAC systems for various building types
• Prepare HVAC design calculations, load estimations, layouts, and schematic diagrams
• Ensure designs comply with local codes and international standards (ASHRAE, DM, DEWA, etc.)
• Coordinate with internal disciplines (MEP, structural, architectural) and external stakeholders
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and draftsmen
• Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance of HVAC drawings and documents
• Support project planning, documentation, and timely delivery of design packages
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and technical meetings with clients and contractors
• Recommend energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC solutions
• Assist in authority submissions and approvals
