Essential Skills

  • Degree or trade qualification in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional accreditation in construction, project management, or engineering
  • CCNSG Safety Passport and IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
  • Proven track record in HVAC installation and construction delivery on large projects
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary site teams
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation and site processes
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance within safety-critical industries
  • Experience driving safe and efficient project delivery in complex environment

✔️ Desired Skills

  • Experience delivering HVAC systems on major energy, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of UK nuclear or other highly regulated project environments
  • Familiarity with digital permitting and document control systems
  • Surveying or access planning experience in a construction setting

Responsibilities

This is a site role based on Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, with relocation support available if required.

As a Senior HVAC Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the construction phase of a landmark energy project. Your future team will rely on your leadership to ensure HVAC systems are delivered to the highest safety and quality standards, from planning through to installation and commissioning readiness.

  • Lead the delivery of HVAC construction work packages across assigned project areas
  • Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and client representatives to resolve site queries
  • Oversee installation activities to ensure compliance with design and safety requirements
  • Ensure construction documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time
  • Drive planning of safe access and support surveying requirements on-site
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and escalate issues to maintain delivery schedules
  • Promote and embed a positive health, safety, and environmental culture on-site
  • Support the implementation of permitting and authorisation systems for construction activities
