Description

Job Title: Specialist Engineer
Location: Redditch (with frequent travel to client sites)
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Overtime + Bonus Scheme
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (with overtime and on-call required)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in commercial mechanical pipework, boiler rooms, and systems
  • Knowledge of commercial LTHW systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical services and control wiring
  • Commercial Gas Safe certification (essential)
  • F-Gas Refrigeration certificate (essential)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (clean)
  • Based locally to Redditch depot
  • Flexible with working hours and able to attend call-outs
  • DBS check will be required
  • Boiler Management System (BMS) experience (preferred)
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Engineer to join a growing team that provides high-quality temporary HVAC solutions across the UK. This role will be based in Redditch and will involve the installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial temporary boilers and air-cooled chillers, as well as assisting with modifying existing pipework in plant rooms.
You’ll be working alongside a supportive team of engineers while taking the lead on key projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, service, and maintain commercial temporary boilers and air-cooled chillers
  • Modify existing pipework within plant rooms as required
  • Support with fault-finding on chilled water systems, AHUs, and air-cooled chillers
  • Work on commercial boilers (forced draft burners) using natural gas and oil
  • Oversee and guide other engineers on projects
  • Participate in the on-call rota to support emergency requirements outside of standard working hours
