Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Analysis: Develop and analyse hydraulic models to ensure optimal design for water distribution, drainage, and flood management systems.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hydraulic designs into larger infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with regulations.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support on hydraulic issues, acting as a resource for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant regulations and best practices in the Australian water sector, contributing to sustainable solutions.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Tertiary Qualification: A Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering degree
• Professional Recognition: Affiliation and recognition of discipline expertise by Engineers Australia (Desirable).
• Hydraulic Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of hydraulic engineering procedures and practices as applied to the water industry and large engineering organisations
• Design Experience: Proven experience in the investigation, option, concept, and detailed design of hydraulic infrastructure associated with the water industry at a high professional level, including auditing designs prepared by others (Essential).
• Complex Investigations: Demonstrated experience in executing novel, complex, and critical engineering investigations and designs in the hydraulic discipline
• Technical Standards Development: Experience in the development and ongoing review of technical and infrastructure standards
