Primary Purpose of Job: Contribute to the ongoing growth of STANTEC ResourceNet Private India Ltd by providing technical expertise in the building sector, as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering conceptual design, outline design, detailed design and construction support for buildings, water/ wastewater treatment projects across the STANTEC offices (UK, US, Middle East, Asia Pacific etc.). To be involved in the implementation and delivery of leading edge programs and projects. Support project managers from the region by providing technical support to ensure that project outcomes in terms of budget, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and STANTEC Key Accountabilities: A discipline specific design team leader with a demonstrable career progression with a Plumbing and Fire Protection bias in the field of Building Services Engineering. Provide technical expertise in all Plumbing and Fire Protection systems as a part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering conceptual design, outline design, detailed design and construction support for projects across Stantec. Proficiency with NFPA 13,20, NFPA 99, International Plumbing Code, HTM 02-01, and BS8301. Familiarity with International Building Codes and Standards. Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination through design and the construction process. Familiarity with permitting and Authority requirements. Keeping all project related documentation in compliance with Stantec systems, processes, and procedures. Anticipates challenges and project risks and recommends necessary mitigating measures, and where necessary relates these internally to Commercial Team and, externally, to Client/Client Representatives. Liaise closely with regional stakeholders (regional project leadership), and in some instances external clients; and local RNet (Pune) team members. Demonstrates ownership qualities, for the team quality, and the timely delivery of projects. Coordination with other Disciplines Designers and Engineers as applicable. Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns to Discipline Lead/Project Manager/Project Lead. Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline. Attend project meetings and calls as required. Train new and less experienced mechanical engineers and designers. Undertake other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time by management. • Need to work off-hours for client co-ordination: Occasionally Travelling off-shore (secondments) to other Stantec global offices: for durations ranging from 3 to 6 months or as required.
