Description

Primary Function:
Support Production and Engineering departments to efficiently deliver all systems projects. Principal focus is hydraulic systems and power units. This will encompass building, commissioning and testing of HYDAC Systems. Part of this role involves associated technical administrative tasks.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Building and assembly of hydraulics systems i.e. Power units, Lubrication units
  • Support Production and Engineering departments in completing and delivering finished goods and systems
  • Testing, commissioning and troubleshooting complex hydraulic systems
  • Assist with training and mentoring of technical support and production staff
  • Assist with compiling and delivering of production and technical documentation
  • Perform technical tasks and documentation control in an ISO9001 environment
  • Participate in engineering and production team meetings
  • Maintain a flexible attitude to tasks assigned and workload demands
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with HYDAC OH&S policies and procedures
  • Maintaining the factory and production / store area in a clean safe condition.
  • Assist with product testing and R&D activities as required
  • Represent HYDAC in a professional manner at all times
  • Any other duties or activities as the company shall reasonably require from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Trade, Technical or Engineering Qualification along with proficiency in the Mechanical Engineering Field.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent planning, analytical problem solving and research skills.
  • Proficient in using IT based systems.
  • Experienced with MS Office Suite.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Committed to ensure that tasks are followed through and completed efficiently.
  • Willingness to be “hands on” and fully involved in the production process as required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years of hydraulic industry work experience. Trade or engineering qualifications in a related discipline.
