About the Opportunity The Senior I&C Engineer provides instrumentation and control engineering insight and design solutions for capital projects in the Nuclear Medicine Portfolio. This role reviews project scopes from a controls and instrumentation engineering perspective, and what implications these projects may have on processes within Nuclear Medicine. The Senior I&C Engineer also provides guidance to project engineers and project managers to ensure that projects have the correct information and advice at the start of a project. Throughout the lifecycle of the project, the Senior I&C Engineer reviews and signs off process drawings and documents. The Senior I&C Engineer also liaises with the Lead Engineers to ensure that all projects apply a similar methodology. This role will act as an I&C SME within the Nuclear Medicine Portfolio. Your Duties and Responsibilities As a recognised Subject Matter Expert, undertake I&C design analysis, justification of design and safety features and review of engineering work including proposals, concepts, detailed designs, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, operation and maintenance issues. As required undertake project leadership roles within the nuclear medicine portfolio at Program or Senior Project Engineer/Manager level. Mentor and guide engineers in project initiation, technical specifications, business case development, and cost-benefit analysis. Assess risks, costs and benefits associated with proposed solutions and the project delivery with the aim of achieving the desired outcome whilst having a positive impact on ANSTO’s reputation.
