Primary Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of cloud-native applications using microservices and serverless patterns Develop and maintain cloud-based applications using technologies such as Java, Node.js, Python, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) Implement APIs, manage integrations, and optimize performance across distributed systems Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in design, testing, and deployment Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement Integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate testing and deployment processes Monitor application health and implement observability tools for proactive issue resolution Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations Collaborate with UC Dev and SRE (monitoring/automation) teams to solve and implement solutions Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to maintain robust cloud environments Work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions Developing pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Understand technology and business processes to help identify automation and AI opportunities. Participate and lead all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree OR HS Diploma/GED plus 5+ years of equivalent experience 5+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle experience 5+ years of software development with a focus on .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core). 5+ years of REST API development 4+ years of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React. 2+ years of database experience (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra) Experience in applying Natural Language Processing (NLP), Intelligent Document Processing, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques Experience in deploying and manage ML models on cloud platforms using Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, or GCP AI Platform Proven leverage cloud-native AI tools for model training, deployment, and monitoring Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design, and ship AI-powered features Proven AI Skills Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP or AWS Python, SQL experience Preferred Qualifications: Certification in .NET technologies or Agile methodologies Experience with Source Control systems (example: GitHub) Experience with microservices architecture and containerization Experience with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra) and messaging systems (Kafka) Experience working in a virtual team environment Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform) and monitoring solutions (Splunk, Dynatrace) Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
