ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our Technology group section is seeking a Senior ICT Engineer to contribute to the growth and success of the team.
In this role, you will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for the advisory and design of advanced technologies in modern, smart and iconic projects throughout Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring coordination with other disciplines and meeting client needs.
Our team provides services to high level, complex clients that require integrated systems to support their daily operations. We specialise in providing services to State, Federal, and Defence clients, as well as Corrections and Health.
Building automation, IoT, Security, Audio-Visual, and emerging systems must be interconnected over a robust and reliable infrastructure to enable communication and interoperability between systems. We need leaders in these fields to spearhead innovative design solutions to help shape how our clients will work and thrive into the future.
In this role, you will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for the advisory and design of advanced technologies in modern, smart and iconic projects throughout Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring coordination with other disciplines and meeting client needs.

DAY TO DAY TASKS WOULD INVOLVE:

  • Provide design support in ICT for our various offices and projects across Australia for the design of active and passive systems, infrastructure, carrier connections, Audio-Visual services, etc.
  • Prepare technical documents for planning, preparation of specifications and drawings, calling of tenders and providing construction service support including testing and commissioning.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships for the execution of projects and participate in business development.
  • Support other Project Engineer’s in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction.
  • Provide support and mentoring to Junior staff members.
  • Support clients and internal customers on technical queries.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent training in networking, computer science, cyber security, etc.
  • Customer focus, providing bespoke solutions.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of:
    o Structured Cabling System
    o Backbone Fibre & Copper
    o MATV/IPTV Systems
    o DAS
    o ICN - Integrated Communications Network
    o IP telephony systems
    o Active networks
    o Wireless Design
    o WiredScore assessor (beneficial)
    o Digital Signage
    o Large scale AV Systems (preferred)
    o Data Centres (preferred)

o Defence ICT design (preferred)

  • Knowledge of security systems, both physical and cyber would be considered beneficial but not essential.
  • RCDD, CCNA or CISSP certifications are considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (AS/NZ, IEC, ANSI / TIA, BICSI, IEEE, CSA, OBC, NBC).
  • Current AGSVA Baseline clearance, or ability to obtain (must be an Australian Citizen).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to innovate based on customer and industry requirements.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
