We’re looking for a Senior ICT Technical Specialist, to reinforce the team in our Germany office!

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years at Senior Technician level; ideally with a Computer Science degree.
  • Broad IT knowledge with expertise in mission critical services. (Azure Cloud, MS Exchange, MS365, SharePoint)
  • Strong people, partner management, and communication skills for cross-functional and customer interactions.
  • Experience in working with 3rd party vendors.
  • Customer-focused, problem-solver, detail-oriented, decisive, adaptable, team player, proactive.
  • Good communication skills in both English & German: B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all IT equipment in Serco Germany office; provide regular/ad-hoc support to other offices.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support, own incidents/requests until resolution, escalate to
  • Serco DDaT or 3rd-party vendors, and coordinate until closure.
  • Oversee Server/Technical room and network equipment (uplink, Wi-Fi APs, UPS, cabling) to ensure business-critical operations.
  • Apply predefined access policies for server room; escalate issues when required.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, processes, procedures, and guides in internal knowledgebase.
  • Collaborate with business and support teams to agree on functional/non-functional expectations.
  • Support service level targets by addressing issues, resolving problems, and improving performance with internal teams and partners.
  • Analyse requirements for new services, recommend technical solutions, coordinate deliverables and schedules.
  • Oversee Asset Lifecycle Management: purchase HW/SW/accessories, track deliveries, inspect items, conduct annual inventories, dispose of EOL equipment per policies.
  • Manage supplier contracts: monitor costs, anticipate changes, handle renewals.
  • Coordinate vendor support calls to ensure SLA compliance; maintain supplier databases.
  • Procure IT equipment/accessories: obtain quotes, process purchases, register assets per policy.
  • Support ICT projects in design, transition, and operational phases.
  • Suggest and implement process/system improvements.
  • Report to Head of IT Space: highlight improvement areas, contract/equipment renewals or retirements, recommend project initiatives.
  • Coach junior team members.
  • Maintain technical expertise via market research, training, networking, and professional activities.
