We coordinate care across various agencies, supporting not only physical health but also addressing social determinants of health. MyHealth also empowers community-wide initiatives aimed at improving health and empowers patients facing social difficulties through screening and referral to essential life services. Our commitment to the 5 rights of health information—right patient, right provider, right information, at the right time, in the right setting—ensures better patient outcomes while safeguarding individual privacy.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Identity Data Analyst, EMPI Systems plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of patient identity data across MyHealth’s ecosystem. This role combines technical acumen with analytical rigor to steward the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI), enabling high-quality, coordinated care. The analyst will proactively monitor data quality, resolve identity discrepancies, optimize matching logic, and develop dashboards and tools to support operational and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Identity Data Integrity and Analysis (80%)
· Monitor and maintain daily EMPI workflows, including task resolution (25–50 records/day), system log review, and ETL job oversight.
· Conduct root cause analysis of duplicate, overlaid, or fragmented identities; develop and execute remediation plans.
· Tune and enhance the EMPI engine’s rules and algorithms to improve match accuracy and reduce false positives/negatives.
· Design and automate dashboards, reports, and alerts for data quality assurance using tools such as Tableau, Excel VBA, and Python.
· Develop scripts and utilities to support identity resolution and quality monitoring, leveraging APIs and data integration tools.
· Document technical workflows and contribute to EMPI process improvement and policy development.
Cross-Functional Support & Collaboration (20%)
· Collaborate with HIE stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to support new integrations and service enhancements involving identity data.
· Participate in EMPI-related implementation projects, including requirement gathering, testing, and performance validation.
· Contribute to vendor management activities related to EMPI performance and system behavior.
· Assist in evaluating new tools or services that enhance identity resolution and data quality management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
· 3+ years of experience working with EMPI systems, patient identity management, or health data quality initiatives.
· Proficiency in tools, languages and standards including Python, SQL, Excel, VBA, JSON, HL7v2, XML, and API integrations.
· Strong understanding of HIPAA, data governance, and best practices related to protected health information (PHI).
