Description THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION - MUST COME INTO THE OFFICE 2 DAYS A WEEK POSITION OVERVIEW The Senior Imaging Services Technical Associate provides technical support to the Development division of the Department of Imaging Services (IS). The position will lead development, management, and delivery of site training materials, and provide medical imaging technical support to the study sites in support of the clinical trials business. The Senior Imaging Services Technical Associate will liaise with staff from all divisions of Imaging Services, as well as Technical Services, Client Services, Operations, and external consultants to produce comprehensive, technically sound work products.RESPONSIBILITIES Use proprietary software to inspect incoming medical images that span many combinations of anatomy and imaging modalities Identify deviations from the prescribed image acquisition protocol (IAP) in incoming medical images Assist IS staff with scientific and technical consulting activities Lead development of study-specific image acquisition protocols Develop internal review checklists for new anatomies and modalities Manage, develop, revise, and deliver site training material Document training activity and results of effectiveness testing Develop external, site-, sponsor- and consultant-facing project materials (such as guidance for site coordinators, imaging technologists, physician consultants, etc.) Liaise with site staff on image quality issues identified by MMI and assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues Manage Imaging Services’ role in the site initiation process Assist with preparations for investigator/coordinator meetings, tradeshows, workshops, etc. Developing internal, project-specific training materials for technical project staff, including project managers, analysts and physician consultants (i.e., radiologists and cardiologists) Support ongoing internal initiatives, including development of training/certification programs for physician reviewers, process improvements, and auditing and consolidating project documents. Reinforce client relationships through high-quality work products, responsiveness, and timeliness Provide feedback on improvements to processes and procedures Requirements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Credentials/certification in one or more than one modality (CT, MRI, Interventional, Cardiac Cath Lab) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or credentials/certification from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Bachelor’s degree preferred At least 3 years’ experience in clinical and/or preclinical imaging and/or radiology (including CT, MR, Specials/Interventional, Cardiac Cath Lab, Ultrasound, and/or Nuclear Medicine) Demonstrated technical competence in medical image acquisition, modality console operation, patient/subject positioning, and preparation of images for delivery to end-users Operational proficiency with basic office software tools like MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. SKILLS REQUIRED Increasing independence and leadership skills Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Excellent interpersonal and client service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong technical presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences Ability to compile, synthesize, and interpret relevant scientific literature Ability to rapidly acquire and apply new technical and scientific knowledge Strong analytic, quantitative, and computer skills Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects/tasks under tight timelines Highly self-motivated and committed to exceeding planned objectives Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation Ability to learn operational facets of CRM and other project management tools Highly motivated to improve processes and procedures PLUSES Prior experience or research in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, medical imaging or healthcare technology. Prior work experience or research in medical devices or biopharmaceuticals with an emphasis on spine, orthopedics, cardiology, and/or neurology At least 1 year of post-baccalaureate experience in a technical role Understanding of clinical trials, including US-FDA 510(k) / PMA regulatory pathway Knowledge of routine assessments made from orthopedic and/or cardiovascular imaging exams History of working with clinicians (e.g. radiologists, cardiologists, surgeons, neurologists) on R&D projects involving advanced image analysis and interpretation Experience with working in a B2B environment
