Job Summary:
Within our WW Indirect Sourcing organisation, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing activities from our SCC in Budapest. This position is an individual contributor role and does not involve managing people or having direct reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and managing vendor relationships to ensure the best quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal applicant should have a proven experience within the Logistics and Service Delivery world.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Relationship Management:
o Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.
o Execute sourcing strategies aligned with the company’s goals to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
o Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best commercial agreements.
o Manage supplier performance through regular assessments and feedback sessions.
Cost Management:
o Achieve cost reduction targets by developing and executing cost-saving initiatives.
o Issue and manage end-to-end RFP processes
o Monitor procurement budgets and report on sourcing metrics and KPIs.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their sourcing needs.
o Collaborate with the legal department to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
Supplier Onboarding and Risk Management:
o Analyse market trends, identify new sourcing opportunities, and reduce supply chain risks.
o Lead supplier qualification processes, ensuring suppliers meet company standards in terms of quality, safety, and sustainability.
o Implement and monitor onboarding processes for new suppliers.
Contract Management:
o Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
o Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring all terms are adhered to by both parties.
Qualifications:
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
o A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
Experience:
o 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in a multinational company.
o Proven experience in sourcing for manufacturing, technology, or similar sectors.
o Demonstrated track record of achieving cost savings and managing complex negotiations.
Skills and Competencies:
o Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and market dynamics.
o Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
o Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
o Proficient in procurement and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
