EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree / Bachelor with focus Finance/Tax
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in VAT/GST with an advisory firm or in a corporate environment
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Embrace out-of-the-box thinking and technology-driven processes
  • international, cross-functional and cross-divisional collaborative working approach
  • Knowledge in global indirect taxes (VAT/GST), ideally for multiple jurisdictions in EU and non-EU countries
  • Basic knowledge of VAT/GST bookings in ERP systems (ideally SAP S/4)
  • Strong analytical thinking and preferences to work in technical/software-driven processes

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a (Senior) Indirect Tax Specialist (m/f/d) to join our Group Indirect Tax team in Berlin. As part of our team, you will be responsible for global indirect tax compliance of dedicated group companies.

This role will be in our Berlin office on a hybrid working model.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage global indirect tax compliance, i.e. tax return preparation, filing and timely submission
  • Manage global tax audits
  • Envisage transformation of manual compliance in automated processes
  • Ensure proper tax-process documentation
  • Answering daily requests and tax-related questions from other departments
  • Tax trainings and tax workshops in Germany and abroad
