SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a technically adept individual with excellent communication and mediation skills. The ideal candidate will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Industrial Design or Product Design Engineering
• A diverse portfolio, showcasing quick ideation sketches through to refined concept presentations
• Experience designing electromechanical consumer products
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, - Solidworks, Keyshot, and Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics and proportion
• Solid understanding of design for manufacture
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Current Driver’s License (highly preferred)

The company is seeking a Senior Industrial Designer with a wealth of creativity and experience to join their team. The primary focus of this role is front-end creative development, while maintaining a deep understanding of design manufacture. You will bring your expertise and experience to the table from ideation and concept design through to 3D CAD modelling and visual representation. The role will predominantly nurture a long standing international client.

• Sketching for ideation and presentation rendering
• Concept modelling in CAD (preferably Solidworks)
• Prototyping for aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality
• Product rendering using Keyshot
• Comprehensive design research, documentation, and planning
• Close collaboration with team members and directors
