ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Industrial Engineer (f/m/d) to join the implementation team of our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering department in Eppingen-Richen (DE).
As Senior Industrial Engineer in our implementation team located at the factory site, you are taking a key role in detailed planning, implementation, qualification and optimization of our manufacturing solutions for prefabrication of building modules. You are collaborating closely with building system experts, mechanical engineers, the digitalization team (digital production control systems, Industry 4.0) and production. Your work integrates into our development, change and improvement processes while you are especially engaged in the transfer of new products / processes to series production, ramp-up and subsequent optimization.

YOUR TASKS

  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and optimization of (semi-) automated production solutions through application engineering in transfer of new products and processes from the design stage to series production.
  • Planning, coordination, guidance and document tests, trials, and prototypes during product and process development collaboratively with relevant stakeholders incl. feedback of results and conclusions
  • Ensure the maturity of production solutions through testing and application of a robust process qualification program which enables a controlled hand-over to production for series operation.
  • Provide work standards to production - e.g. work instructions – and transfer of knowledge to engineers and production staff
  • Analyze process and cycle times to identify potentials for production improvement and aiming to optimize accuracy of process planning outcomes (time studies, e.g. REFA)
  • Waste / loss analysis and reduction
  • Contribute to and/or manage changes to products or respective manufacturing processes in series production (change control)
