The role is to join the business intelligence unit at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role will be within the analytical team, creating reports and submissions to both internal and external stakeholders.
Additional working pattern details: Hybrid Role (2 days per week required on site)
The role will primarily involve maintaining and expanding upon existing reports concerning referral to treatment (RTT). Along with utilising analytical software, the role also involves attending regular meetings with our operational team and executives in the overall aim to reduce the elective waiting times for patients. Candidates will be required to demonstrate experience of using analytical software, along with an in-depth understanding of elective patient pathways.
Gloucestershire Hospitals aims to drive a culture that promotes our values (caring, listening, excelling). The business intelligence department is made up of a team of 40-50 staff. It is an exciting time within the department with new developments including the introduction of Tableau, a new data warehouse, expansion of Population Health Management, and the continued implementation of a new EPR system. These developments will continue to make the team pivotal to the post-COVID landscape in Gloucestershire.
The successful applicant will provide data reporting through SSRS and Tableau which provide our operational team with context around the landscape of our elective waiting lists, in particular those on a referral to treatment pathway (RTT). The post holder will be required to extract data from SQL, using a variety of data sources to highlight and identify specific cohorts, which in turn can help the trust deliver on national targets. There will be expectation to represent the business intelligence department at meetings with senior operational, clinical and executive staff, along with partnering organisations
