Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

A key role reporting to the Information Management Lead is responsible for leading the implementation, embedding and continuous improvement of IG’s information governance capability and to increase adoption of the Information Management platform across IG. This will directly support the delivery of the Supply and Technology’s strategic outcome of “Enable robust data-driven decision making through providing accurate and reliable data, business insights, and fit for purpose systems and processes”

  • Execute tactical and strategic plans for the IG information governance capability
  • Steer and champion information governance best practices across the business
  • Work with senior stakeholders to include information governance activities within their teams Ways of Working
  • Collaborate with diverse groups of stakeholders across multiple business units to deliver One Origin outcomes
  • Influence key stakeholder groups to further adopt the IG information management platform
  • Manage and continuously improve the IG Information governance framework, including; processes, governance forums, roles / responsibilities, performance monitoring, SharePoint sites, etc
  • Provide support and training to key stakeholder groups (Information Owners) related to information governance and the data management platform
  • Develop quarterly release plans and deliver the agreed initiatives
  • Support the uplift and adoption of the Manage Information (MI) core process
  • Monitoring and improving adoption of modules within the information management platform (Ataccama), such as; metadata management, business glossary, security, catalogues, etc
  • Organising and leading governance forums to effectively and efficiently deliver common outcomes
  • Continuously monitoring IG’s Information Management performance in Power BI to identify insights to increase adoption
  • Analyse current state, define future state and develop plans to design, build, test and implement solutions
