Description:

SALARY CIRCA £68,000 PA

As our Senior Information Security Consultant, in the Cyber Consultancy Team, you will be instrumental in driving both small and large-scale change initiatives across the group. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring a ‘cyber by design’ approach, conducting threat and risk assessments, and advancing our security posture to safeguard our environment and customer data through the Allianz Security Framework.
This dynamic position is ideal for an individual with a strong background in Information Security, capable of aligning project objectives with security frameworks, policies, and standards. We value curiosity, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project and change personnel to complete threat and risk assessments for change activities, and embed appropriate information security controls within project requirements across Cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on requirements, solution designs, test plans and other change artefacts to ensure that they comply with Allianz security policies and standards, to project teams across Cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Ensure residual risks are identified, documented and managed through the information security risk management framework.
  • Ensure Cyber-By-Design to continually educate all project and change personnel on information security requirements, and working collaboratively with team members to identify any areas for continual improvement and development.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat modelling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.
  • Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection.
  • Knowledge of network security, including the design and implementation of secure networks.
  • Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in implementing and managing security frameworks and standards such as COBIT & NIST.
  • Demonstratable experience of reviewing technical architecture and design documentation and advising on related security aspects across Cloud and on-premise environments
  • Experience in Application Security (across mobile and web applications), secure design and development, common vulnerabilities (OWASP) is desirable
  • Able to translate Information Security and IT risk language into business language
  • Able to build and main relationships and influence key stakeholders across the business

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience with both on-prem and cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • A creative and analytical mind with good customer interfacing and excellent communications skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with key deliverables and timelines, across multiple workstreams
  • Commitment to staying updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Experience of Scaled Agile Transformation and Cloud technologies.
