Conducts regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans. Develops, tests, and operates firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems and software deployment tools. Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction or disclosure. Researches, evaluates, tests, communicates and implements new security software or devices. Implements, enforces, communicates and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications and information systems security education/awareness programs. Conducts routine investigations of information systems security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to management. Responds to queries and requests for computer security information and reports. Incumbent may report into the Security department and act as a liaison between the IT and Security functions OR may report directly into the IT function. The Information Security Analyst Senior must have: Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent technical training, certification(s) or experience Experience: 3+ years of related experience Technical Skills: 2+ years of experience in developing and implementing intrusion detection systems and firewalls Certification: Candidate must possess an appropriate and current DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Certification to be considered for employment. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is the preferred certification. Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required. The likely salary range for this position is $123,250 - $166,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
