Position Summary Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Information Systems Engineer supporting the AFLCMC/EBD Joint Strike Missile Program at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Provide expert guidance on technology‑related risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. Perform system resource management to ensure optimal performance and availability. Maintain configuration baselines and accurately document all system changes. Develop and maintain technical documentation for supported systems. Conduct inventories, inspections, troubleshooting, and oversight of secure equipment and classified keying material in support of COMSEC requirements. Ensure proper receipt, transfer, accountability, safeguarding, and destruction of COMSEC material and equipment. Perform courier duties for COMSEC materials in accordance with established procedures. Collect, maintain, and report data required for internal and external reporting obligations. Conduct self‑inspections and support preparation efforts for customer or compliance inspections. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity plans, policies, and procedures. Apply working knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53 controls and processes required for obtaining and sustaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) or Authority to Connect (ATC). Maintain and update systems, configurations, and documentation as operational requirements evolve. Analyze mission needs and convert them into clear software or system specifications. Conduct integration testing involving hardware and software components to validate functionality and compliance. Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications Clearance: Must have a current Secret and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in an ABET-accredited computer science program + 15 years Relevant Experience Preferred Qualifications Clearance: Top Secret Education: Master of Science (MS) in an ABET-accredited computer science program + 10 years Relevant Experience, OR Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in an ABET-accredited computer science program + 5 years Relevant Experience Technical Skills Proficiency in handling, tracking, safeguarding, and destroying classified keying material and secure equipment. Working understanding of NIST SP 800‑53, ATO/ATC processes, and cybersecurity compliance documentation. Ability to maintain configuration baselines, document system changes, and perform system resource management. Skilled in writing system documentation, procedures, and technical reports to support audits and inspections. Experience conducting integration testing involving hardware/software interfaces and translating mission needs into technical requirements. Interpersonal Skills Ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing. Maintains strict accuracy in inventories, documentation, and compliance activities under secure conditions. Comfortable working with cybersecurity, engineering, leadership, and mission support teams. Capable of identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and troubleshooting issues efficiently. Able to manage shifting requirements, multiple tasks, and evolving mission objectives in a secure environment.
