POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our constantly evolving IT department is in search of a Senior Unix Engineer with excellent time management skills and a proven record of setting and meeting results-oriented goals! We’re looking for a candidate with considerable hands-on experience and will support in engineering and delivery across platform initiatives including Operating systems, Virtual Platforms, Storage, backup and supporting areas. This individual will support alignment of projects within this space, working across engineering teams as appropriate. Will engineer and support engineering activities that cross technology verticals, automation and continuous improvement activities. This role will be expected to understand and support initiatives within on-premises platforms as projects that help to accelerate modernization to public cloud environments. This track and measure metrics to support building business cases and gather data to support roadmaps, project rational, and progress while also directly contributing to engineering efforts. This role to be filled by an engineer with a background in business analysis, data science, process improvement and platform engineering who has experience in highly regulated financial organization.
