REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Windows environment administration including MS Server 2022, AD, DNS, DHCP, Skype for Business administration, Exchange Server 2019 Administration, WSUS, Windows Desktop administration etc,
  • Working knowledge of configuring an IP network – switch configuration, knowledge of VLANs, dot1x security, firewalls, routing, BGP, Juniper, Cisco, F5 BIG-IP
  • Experience with working with VMWare vCenter, ESXi
  • Experience with working with Dell PowerEdge and ME storage units

Responsibilities

Daily Tasks:

  • Investigate issues escalated from Tier 2 Engineers.
  • Review, track and implement Modcert alerts and directives.
  • Providing technical support and mentoring to other members of the team.

Weekly Tasks:

  • Update the H1E Change Pack.
  • Update the H1E Weekly Support Pack.

Monthly Tasks

  • License Management
  • Certificate Management

Ad-Hoc Tasks

  • Perform non-standard software patching and upgrades.
  • Site visits to resolve technical faults, implement new systems or to meet with the customer/user.
  • Engage in writing technical responses to Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s).
  • Perform systems administration activities.
  • Complete regular technical maintenance tasks
  • Forward thinking and brainstorm technical improvement and engineering changes to the H1E system.
  • Develop new tools and scripts for Tier 1 and 2 engineers to use, to assist in their day to day operations.
  • Create, update and maintain the technical knowledgebase articles and documentation.
  • Continually work to improve and streamline current processes.
  • Engage with 3rd party vendors and the authority.
  • Develop and monitor all aspects of Infrastructure to ensure the smooth running of infrastructure and Support processes.
  • Lead in resolution of major support incidents.
  • Work independently to achieve a variety of tasks.
