THE TEAM

The Insight and Intelligence team, within the Directorate of Strategy and Transformation is responsible for delivering sector leading customer insight – primary research and market intelligence that provides timely and accurate insight and recommendations to improve performance, efficiency, and quality. These services help to guide the strategy and direction of Sheffield Hallam University; supporting evidence-based decisions at every level.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Insight Analyst, you will be working with other insight analysts and stakeholders through all areas of the service: market intelligence on the sector and competitors and primary research projects.
You will play a crucial role in the team, managing the delivery of high-quality insights for our stakeholders to improve performance, efficiency, and quality across the University. You will be responsible for managing all stages of the research process; taking the brief, set up, project management, data manipulation and analysis, across all our customer groups; home and international students and applicants, and businesses.

We are looking for a Senior Insight Analyst whose key strengths include:

  • Experience of working with qualitative and quantitative methods and data (primary and secondary)
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to understand research requirements and deliver insights
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel or other tools for analysing data
  • Good communication skills that support team and independent working
