Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of SWIFT and Fedwire payment formats and best practices for initiating funds transfers.
  • Previous experience processing wire and check disbursements in a financial services environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with various securities platforms including Broadridge (Impact/Gloss/BPS).
  • FINRA registration including Series 7 or 99.

Responsibilities

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Institutional Investment Operations Specialist to join the Cash Management team. The Cash Management team sits within Funding Operations and is primarily responsible for:

  • Executing client and inter-company cash transfers and bookkeeping entries.
  • Collaborating with FCL and other internal business partners to onboard new business as needed.

The Funding Operations team sits within WFS Broker Dealer Operations and primarily supports the Funding Capital Liquidity team (FCL), Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), as well as custody customers of WFS.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform user acceptance testing for system enhancements.
  • Ensure daily cash and collateral margin settlements are approved and processed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures.
  • Funding internal and external bank accounts across multiple currencies and Agent banks.
  • Processing customer and firm Fedwire and SWIFT wire transfers and check disbursements.
  • Researching and reconciling daily position and cash breaks.
  • Liaising with various support groups and trading desks to escalate and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
  • Participating in individual and group projects to drive process improvement and support business initiatives.
  • Ability to quickly assess the urgency around a problem or situation and escalate if needed.
  • Assist in strategic build out of payments infrastructure.
