How you will do it Design intuitive and creative learning or performance support tools and programs Develop training with an emphasis on innovative learning and performance support that could be used globally Apply what you know about adult learning and share what you learn along the way with the rest of the team Use strong project management skills in developing outcomes that positively impact the business Partner and collaborate learning experience designers (peers) located across the globe Drive curation strategies that pull content from multiple sources across our learning ecosystem Act as an internal consultant to combine multiple perspectives into holistic solutions that maximize the impact on the business Create and support a strong global team environment Engage partners to develop capability building programs Participate in organizational development exercises including group facilitation, team building, and systems analysis Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in instructional design and training Understand technology to effectively design your learning and performance support tools Leverage innovative learning technologies and platforms to deploy learning, including the Johnson Controls Learning Hub (LXP), LMS (Learning Management System), and uLearn (video streaming service) Establish measurement and evaluation plans that include key business metrics and return on investment strategies What impact would you have? Investigate new opportunities and develop effective training that is impactful and inventive Directly impact key performance indicators Align your ingenuity and innovative ideas with the global strategic plan of the business Learn on a day-to-day basis about how our equipment and strategies work to conserve energy and protect our environment Focus on Johnson Controls’ expanding portfolio of technology-based products impacting our customers’ daily life What we look for Experience: 5-10 years of designing and developing learning solutions preferred (exposure to field operations preferred) 5+ years of experience in Instructional Design and storyboarding, working for the Training & eLearning industry At least 1-2 years of experience in stakeholder communication Education: Holds a bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, and Education or Graduate or PG from a recognized university Demonstrates certain levels of proficiency in evaluations, Kirkpatrick model, Philips ROI model, ADDIE, Agile, cultural, and regional adjustments, change management, and adult learning theory Technical: JCI’s portfolio of products is complex, so we need someone who is quick to grasp how building environments are created and business lines organized.
