  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide senior-level instrumentation engineering support for onshore EPC project execution.
  • Review and develop instrumentation engineering deliverables, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Lead and coordinate instrumentation engineering activities with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Telecom, ICSS, DCS, and other disciplines.
  • Review instrumentation design documents including instrument index, I/O lists, instrument datasheets, specifications, hook-up drawings, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and termination drawings.
  • Review and coordinate P&IDs, control system interfaces, instrument locations, and instrumentation layouts.
  • Ensure instrumentation design and installation activities comply with project specifications, ADNOC requirements, applicable codes, and international standards.
  • Provide technical support to construction teams during instrument installation, calibration, tubing, cabling, termination, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Resolve site technical queries, RFIs, engineering issues, and construction-related instrumentation problems.
  • Review contractor and vendor technical submissions, method statements, material approvals, and instrumentation documentation.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams for instrumentation inspection, testing, calibration, and documentation.
  • Support installation and testing of field instruments, control valves, analyzers, transmitters, switches, gauges, and associated instrumentation systems.
  • Support DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, and other control system interfaces and integration activities.
  • Participate in loop checking, continuity checks, functional testing, cause & effect verification, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Provide technical support during commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, inspections, design reviews, technical meetings, and commissioning activities as required.
  • Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure instrumentation systems are mechanically complete, tested, and ready for commissioning.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure instrumentation construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and project schedules.
  • Support punch-list clearance, system handover, and final project documentation.
  • KEY QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial EPC projects.
  • ADNOC-approved engineer with valid/current approval.
  • Strong experience in onshore oil & gas EPC projects.
  • Proven construction and commissioning experience with significant site-based exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation engineering, installation, testing, calibration, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Experience with DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, SCADA, and other industrial control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of instrument index, I/O lists, instrument datasheets, hook-ups, loop diagrams, cable schedules, instrument layouts, and related engineering deliverables.
  • Experience coordinating instrumentation interfaces with all engineering disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of relevant international instrumentation codes, standards, and ADNOC project requirements.
  • Experience in resolving site engineering issues and providing practical construction solutions.
