Are you ready to play a crucial role as Senior Insulation Engineer in designing, maintaining, and inspecting insulation systems for equipment and structures like pipes, tanks, and vessels?

What will you be doing?

As insulation engineer in Aker Solutions you will be involved in designing, maintaining and inspecting insulation systems for equipment and structures like pipes, tanks, and vessels. Your primary role will be to ensure efficient temperature control, energy conservation, and safety. By selecting the right insulation materials, such as fiberglass or mineral wool, they prevent heat loss or gain, optimizing system performance while maintaining operational efficiency. You will also ensure that insulation systems meet regulatory and safety standards, protecting both personnel and equipment from hazardous conditions.

• Point of contact with ISO suppliers (ISO: Insulation-Scaffolding-Surfaces)
• Coordinate and plan/decide ISO work and delivery according to the schedule
• Contribute, follow, and participate in projects from study phase to completion
• Prepare documentation for subcontractors for estimation and offers
• Planning and follow-up in customer systems (SAP)
• Risk assessment in projects
• Ensure good delivery of ISO services
• ISO services also include TT (access technology), habitat, interior fittings, and cleaning.

We think you should have:

• Bachelors- or master’s degree within technical disciplines - or relevant experience on Insulation
• Minimum 5 years of experience from the oil & gas industry, preferably within Topside systems.
• FROSIO Certificate.
• Proven component level knowledge of technologies in ISO- and sealing materials and technologies of design of sub-assembly components
• Experience in product development and qualification.
• Knowledge of relevant standards within Topside systems.
• Knowledge of relevant manufacturing methods/ processes.
• Knowledge of CAD software, NaVIS.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP system preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English, written and spoken.
• Drive to take initiative and ownership of product related activities.
• Have excellent teamwork and cooperation skills.
