The Opportunity
With ACCIONA experiencing robust growth, we’re on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Insurance Advisor to play a pivotal role in actively steering our insurance function, reporting directly to the ANZ Insurance Manager.
In this key role, you will be responsible for building partnerships across the business, helping the business protect our risk position and supporting the risk maturity journey across a global company.
Functional responsibility includes claims management, advising key internal and external stakeholders on contracts and risk allocation, insurance coverage / placement, and leading risk based commercial matters.
Please note this role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage insurance claims from date of loss. This will involve strategic claims management across the portfolio, as well as developing and leading claims strategy with the project, insurance brokers, project partners and external stakeholders to ensure timely and maximised claims settlement.
• Analysing, managing, and renewing corporate insurance policies in Australia and New Zealand. This will involve assisting with renewal strategy with our global colleagues and broking partners.
• Ensuring all insurance policies and relevant documentation is accurate.
• Assist in the preparation of ELT board papers and other internal documents.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proven experience of relevant insurance and claims experience within a large corporate environment.
• Construction, Professional indemnity or claims management comes highly desirable.
• Hands-on individual with excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• A strong knowledge of insurance provisions in construction related contracts and the ability to advise on construction and other contracts would be highly desirable but not essential.
