Description
Accountabilities
Design, develop, and maintain complex backend integrations using Python and TypeScript.
Build robust APIs and integration services that enable reliable communication between different applications and systems.
Architect and implement scalable solutions for technically complex integration requirements.
Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services with a strong focus on reliability, performance, maintainability, and security.
Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Troubleshoot integration issues, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions.
Contribute to architectural and technical decisions involving APIs, data flows, and system interoperability.
Work with modern technologies and cloud environments as required by project needs.
Maintain effective collaboration with U.S.-based team members by providing at least 2–4 hours of daily working-hour overlap, ideally including West Coast hours.
Requirements
5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience, with strong experience designing and implementing production-grade systems.
Advanced hands-on experience with Python and TypeScript.
Proven experience building complex APIs and system integrations across multiple applications or platforms.
Strong backend engineering fundamentals, including software architecture, data handling, debugging, testing, and performance considerations.
Experience with Dental Practice Management Systems (PMS) or healthcare technology integrations is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with GraphQL, Hasura, and PostgreSQL is highly valuable.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with distributed engineering teams.
Ability to work autonomously while remaining aligned with project objectives and technical standards.
Availability to overlap at least 2–4 hours with U.S. working hours, preferably including West Coast time.
