Job Title Interior Designer Department / Division In-house Architecture team External Interface (Enlist external agencies/authorities that you are required to deal with while discharging your duty) Consultants (Structural & Services) Contractors Vendors Minimum Qualification (i.e education, training etc.) Graduate in Architecture/ Graduate and Diploma in Interior Design Minimum Experience 10-14 years of interior design experience in luxury residence / hospitality /real estate industry Special Skills/Attributes (required for performing the job effectively) Understanding of Project conceptualization, designing and planning Understanding Interior Design concepts and principles Exposure to interior design software (such as AutoCAD,Photoshops, Sketch-up etc.) Overall Purpose/Objective Of the job Responsible for preparation of concept, schematic, tender and construction drawings for the interior designing work of the project and supervision during the construction phase to ensure adherence to drawings, budget and timelines Key Responsibilities (List major responsibilities, that you have, to achieve the key objectives) Lead interior design projects from concept development through final site execution Develop space planning, layouts, mood boards, and material selections Prepare, review, and manage detailed interior drawing packages (GFCs, BOQs, specifications) Ensure designs comply with client requirements, brand guidelines, and applicable local codes Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure accurate implementation of design intent Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and finishes Resolve on-site design and execution issues in coordination with project teams Present design concepts, drawings, and progress updates to clients and stakeholders Support value engineering initiatives without compromising design intent.
