Responsibilities: Monthly coding of client Xero files Preparing business GST for New Zealand Clients ONLY Preparing BAS and IAS for Australian clients ONLY Preparing FBT for clients Preparing financial statements and tax returns Preparing work papers before submitting for review Preparation of Xero and other management reports Assistance with Ad hoc value-added projects Assistance with in-house projects when required Managing of personal workflow Pro-actively assist the Seniors/Managers/Directors with various other ad hoc duties. Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in accounting essential At least 2 or more years of similar experience in NZ/AU Chartered Accounting experience. Knowledge and understanding of accounting and taxation concepts essential Experience with Xero is helpful but not essential Proficient in Excel Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience. Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally. Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members. Time management/organization: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
