POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer/Architect with deep expertise in modern endpoint management to join the Workplace Technology Infrastructure Engineering Team. This role will design, implement, and maintain enterprise desktop solutions for a global end-user community, with a strong emphasis on automation, security, and Microsoft endpoint technologies.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 5–10 years of experience in Desktop Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• Proven experience with modern management of desktops using Microsoft Intune.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM).
• Experience preparing and managing corporate OS images using Windows Autopilot and Task Sequences in MCM.
• Proficiency in automation using PowerShell and other scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of Azure Runbooks and Microsoft Graph API for process automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot desktop issues using standard industry tools.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices (Zero Trust, least privilege, MFA).
• Experience implementing and managing enterprise configuration management tools such as Intune and Ivanti.
• Familiarity with building/customizing Windows and Thin Client images (iGel/Wyse).
• Skills in creating/managing reports using Power BI, Graph API, and SQL.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure, AVD, and AWS.
• High-level technical expertise in Microsoft 365 and Teams.
• Strong Active Directory and Group Policy Management knowledge.
• Ability to code or script in PowerShell, VBScript, or Python for problem-solving.
• Understanding of ITIL best practices and Project Management Methodology (PMM) fundamentals.
• Knowledge of change and release management best practices.
• Experience supporting post-implementation (“Day 2”) operations for infrastructure stability.
• Strong written/oral communication skills with the ability to adapt to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

• Experience in large-scale global enterprise environments.
• Prior consulting experience in fast-paced corporate tech organizations.
