QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CFA, or CMA preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in investments or accounting, with derivatives expertise.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and equity method accounting.
• Proficiency with SAP, Excel (VBA/macro skills a plus), and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is looking for a Senior Investment Accountant to join their Investment Accounting team, focusing on derivatives and complex assets. This role is responsible for accurate accounting and reporting under US GAAP, statutory, and tax bases, as well as supporting SEC disclosures. You’ll serve as a key contributor, mentor junior staff, and partner with cross-functional teams on process improvements and reporting initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform and review accounting/reporting for derivatives, alternatives, and complex assets.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB standards, and SOX requirements.
• Support SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and management reporting.
• Research accounting for new derivative and investment products.
• Lead/participate in projects and continuous improvement efforts.
• Act as point of contact for stakeholders and provide guidance to team members.
