Envestnet is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst - Alternatives to join our PMC Research department.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Investment Analyst to join our investment team. This senior-level position is pivotal in conducting thorough due diligence on asset management firms and their investment products, including but not limited to interval funds, non-traded BDCs, mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and ETFs. The Senior Analyst will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality and thought leadership of our research output.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field
  • 7+ years of asset manager research experience, preferably in alternatives and private markets
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Morningstar Direct and Pitchbook preferred
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and passionate about investing and financial markets

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on asset management firms and their investment products.
  • Write regular research reports and provide detailed analysis on market trends and investment strategies.
  • Lead manager searches and evaluate investment opportunities with a critical eye.
  • Uphold and enhance the research standards of the team by actively challenging and educating team members.
  • Edit and refine team deliverables, ensuring clarity and quality of output.
  • Mentor and train Associates and Investment Analysts, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, contributing to the development of insightful research and thought leadership pieces.
  • Spearhead research improvement projects and initiatives, collaborating closely with the teammates and Principal Director.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, presenting research findings and market insights.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet’s established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
