About the role The Investment Operations Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of Perpetual’s investment and portfolio data. This role supports investment teams across Equities, Fixed Income and Diversified strategies, enabling high‑quality decision‑making and operational excellence. This is a fixed term contract until 18 December 2026, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across daily investment operations, data quality, reconciliation processes and operational risk management. Working across portfolio reconciliation, trade flow oversight, exception management, and data integrity, you will be hands‑on in supporting the smooth operation of Perpetual’s investment processes while partnering closely with internal teams and external service providers. Key responsibilities: Maintain enterprise‑wide investment and portfolio data across multiple asset classes Perform daily portfolio reconciliations between front‑ and back‑office systems for all Perpetual portfolios Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, trade flow issues, and static data exceptions, escalating where appropriate Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of transaction instructions to internal and external stakeholders Respond to transaction‑related queries within required timeframes Identify and manage operational risks proactively Contribute to key projects and organisational change initiatives Partner with external custodians, middle‑office providers, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance processes About you We’re looking for someone with: Tertiary qualifications in finance, science, maths, engineering, or a related discipline Demonstrated experience in Investment Operations or Middle Office within financial services Solid understanding of investment securities across asset classes Familiarity with OTC securities, corporate actions, trade matching, FX, derivatives, and domestic/foreign investments Experience delivering process improvements or supporting project implementation Strong Excel skills: SQL and VBA experience highly regarded Experience with industry systems such as Bloomberg or Charles River Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and a collaborative mindset Ability to take initiative, act as a subject‑matter expert and work effectively in a team environment How we work Our unique culture is underpinned by our three organisational behaviours, Stretch, Own it, Make an impact which drive our approach of day-to-day interactions with colleagues and clients, the way we approach decision-making to the questions we ask and the problems we solve.
