Ciklum is looking for a Senior IoT Engineer to join our team full-time in India. About the role: As a Senior IoT Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. The existing CC2012-2 hardware and software platform has been in use for more than 10 years without any significant updates or refreshes. Recently, modifications were required to adapt the CC platform to Hydra, which involved small PCB shape changes and corresponding updates in the firmware. During this process, it became evident that the firmware would benefit from applying modern coding practices and testing methodologies to make the Cleaning Center platform more future-proof, flexible, and easier to update. Partnering with Ciklum for this evolution is a logical step, given the team’s ongoing expertise with the most critical component of the system: the communication between the Cleaning Center and shavers through the 1Interface emulator project. Additionally, the 1Interface initiative has already paved the way for the integration of connected cleaning stations in the future. The natural next step in this journey is to renew the firmware and codebase for Hydra2, establishing a robust foundation. Once this renewal is complete, the platform can serve as a springboard for further innovations and product evolutions in connected cleaning technology. Responsibilities: * Lead firmware development for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment * Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment without supervision * Design, develop, code, test and debug system software * Interface with hardware design and development * Analyse and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources * Integrate and validate new product designs * Support software QA and optimize I/O performance * Provide post-production support * Assess third party and open source software * Applying state-of-the-art embedded systems design to solve business problems * Performing research and developing proof of concept prototypes Requirements: * Ability to think in an analytic and structured way * S/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering * Proven working 5+ years experience in hardware and software engineering * Solid programming experience 5+ years in C/C++ * Experience with Cortex M0/M3/M4/M7, Nordic nRF5 SDK, networking (Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee etc.), MCU peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, DAC, timers, etc.) * Proven experience in embedded systems design with RTOS * Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets * Familiarity with software configuration management tools, bug tracking tools, and peer review * Experience with GCC, IAR ARM Workbench, Eclipse * Experience with Linux kernel, experience with low-level OS/platform, understanding of unix internals * DSP expertise and strong theoretical background * Knowledge Python for test script extension and development * Understanding of Git workflow * Ability to mentor junior and intern teammates What’s in it for you? * Strong community: Work alongside top professionals in a friendly, open-door environment * Growth focus: Take on large-scale projects with a global impact and expand your expertise * Tailored learning: Boost your skills with internal events (meetups, conferences, workshops), Udemy access, language courses, and company-paid certifications * Endless opportunities: Explore diverse domains through internal mobility, finding the best fit to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies * Care: We’ve got you covered with company-paid medical insurance, mental health support, and financial & legal consultations About us: At Ciklum, we are always exploring innovations, empowering each other to achieve more, and engineering solutions that matter.
