ROLE PURPOSE:
The IT Enterprise Architect Lead – Ireland is responsible for leading the IT architecture team in Vodafone Ireland. They are accountable for defining Vodafone’s target architecture and the roadmap from the current state to the target IT architecture, enabling Vodafone’s IT strategy while removing the legacy aligned to the business needs, the global standards, and the target architecture
ESSENCE OF ROLE – KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead the definition of the target IT IE architecture, define the roadmap for IT applications, and formulate and execute the associated transformation plan.
Lead the definition, maintenance, and optimization of the IT application portfolio, with an emphasis on application rationalization and simplification of the current IT landscape.
Identify opportunities to improve performance, availability, and stability of IT applications through architecture improvements.
Lead the definition of information architecture and ownership.
Assess technical and architectural complexity.
Define application integration standards.
Monitor the architectural model at conceptual, logical, and physical levels to verify compliance with global standards.
Validate technical designs against global architecture standards.
Advise on roadmap plans for underlying IT products and services.
Serve as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) in various global initiatives and projects in scope
Facilitate re-use from other Markets of technologies and capabilities.
Manage key relationships with Global IT to share knowledge and best practices1.
Identify and propose new and innovative architectures and products/platforms to Global architecture for consideration as a new Vodafone standard
