SENIOR IT BUSINESS ANALYST — FINANCIAL SERVICES

This senior-level role focuses on supporting IT initiatives in the insurance industry, working closely with both business and technical teams to evaluate systems, define requirements, and implement effective solutions. Based in either Toronto or Waterloo, this hybrid position requires 3 days onsite per week and offers the potential for extension or full-time conversion.

• Elicit and analyze business requirements including new initiatives, change requests, and production support.
• Coordinate the preparation of user specifications with business stakeholders.
• Identify gaps and assess impact of initiatives, proposing feasible solutions prior to implementation.
• Conduct impact analysis on application changes to ensure suitable solutions are in place.
• Apply change management principles where relevant to ensure smooth solution delivery.
• Act as a liaison between business users and the IT delivery team for both business and system-related issues.
• Assist in the coordination and management of projects from requirements scoping to implementation.
• Support development of user acceptance test strategy and scope.
• Continuously identify opportunities to enhance business processes.
• Provide production systems support, including reconciliations and issue resolution as needed.
• Support process documentation and business process analysis when necessary.
• Offer guidance and coaching to other business analysts.
