About the Role: The Sr. IT Engineer will be responsible for overseeing our global organization’s technology infrastructure, support, security, policies and IT operations. We are looking for someone who has a strong knowledge of modern, cloud-based infrastructure and can support our growing organization to implement and manage a user-friendly and secure environment. \n What You’ll Be Doing: Lead our IT organization across both our US and Japan offices, promoting global collaboration to deliver user-focused solutions and a seamless global experience. Oversee and maintain the IT systems, networks, and cloud-based infrastructure. Lead efforts to transform the IT infrastructure into a more user friendly and secure environment. Develop and implement IT policies, security protocols, and best practices. Manage the IT budget, optimizing costs, and recommending new technologies. Implement and manage security measures to protect the organization's data, networks, vehicles, and systems from unauthorized access, cyber threats, viruses, and other security breaches. Collaborate with department heads to ensure IT services align with business requirements. Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, network configurations, software licenses, and support procedures to facilitate troubleshooting, maintenance, and future upgrades. Interact with IT vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships. What We Are Looking For: 10+ years in the IT field, 3+ years of experience as an IT manager. People management experience, including team development, mentorship, and creating a positive and collaborative culture. Expertise in leading change initiatives, addressing organizational needs, and driving successful transitions. Experience managing an MDM environment. Google Workspace + Microsoft 365 administrative experience. Experience managing macOS and Windows devices remotely. A willingness to be hands-on and provide whatever support is needed to our small organization. A strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to navigate uncertainty and lead independently. Proficiency in implementing and managing Zero Trust security principles. Good understanding and experience with GCP or AWS. Nice to Have Experience introducing cloud-based IT infrastructure services. Experience with Cloud-based directory platforms for identity management. Familiarity or direct experience with Infrastructure-as-Code Business-level proficiency in Japanese is a plus. Experience with these technologies: Jumpcloud, Intune, Active Directory with MS Intra-ID Hybrid \n $146,000 - $185,000 a year This is the position's total compensation package including the company's bonus structure. This position also comes with full benefits. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors.
