Job Title: Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Preston / Warton; Lancashire.
Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

• Installing, configuring and supporting Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Demonstrating a detailed understanding of network architecture, with a focus on Palo Alto firewall and network security technologies
• Applying in-depth knowledge of hypervisor technologies, including VMware, VxRail and Hyper-V
• Using a range of IT administration and management applications

Desirable:

• Administering virtualisation and cloud platforms, including Citrix and thin client technologies
• Understanding and applying cyber security methodologies

• Supporting the organisation’s IT infrastructure across Windows and Linux platforms
• Designing, deploying and maintaining servers, storage, networking and security systems
• Installing, configuring and deploying IT hardware in line with infrastructure hosting requirements
• Investigating and diagnosing issues by gathering information from physical and digital sources, reviewing platform or assembly defects, and identifying all contributing factors
• Administering a virtualised production environment using industry-standard tools
