Are you a Senior Engineer passionate about Lab IT Support and have a knack for keeping cutting-edge lab technologies running smoothly? If so, we want you on our team!
We’re looking for a professional to provide vital technical support to our laboratory teams and ensure our IT systems and infrastructure perform at their best. You’ll be part of a dynamic network of Lab Support Engineers, collaborating across our offices in the Netherlands, Denmark, China and the USA. Your role will help drive high standards, best practices, and the seamless adoption of innovative technologies.
This is a fixed-term position for 6 months.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT engineering, with a focus on laboratory or technical environments.
  • Experience supporting the delivery and maintenance of IT solutions and systems in laboratory settings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize existing engineering processes for lab environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Familiarity with IT security standards, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements such as GLP and GDPR.

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage and execute activities related to lab IT systems, ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory equipment and computers.
  • In close contact with the other senior Support Engineers, serve as contact for both internal and external stakeholders to address lab-related IT issues, ensuring needs are effectively met.
  • Optimize and refine standardized IT processes within the laboratory environment, contributing to improved efficiency and compliance.
  • Support IT projects, ensuring that lab upgrades, migrations, and integrations align with regulatory requirements such as GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GDPR.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and results in team project meetings to ensure transparency and alignment with overall lab IT strategies.
  • Support the continuous improvement of lab IT systems and operations by contributing technical expertise to system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain essential documentation for lab IT systems, including system configurations, SOPs, and technical architecture diagrams.
