EXAMPLES OF DESIRABLE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years of experience as a product manager, technical program manager, or equivalent delivering solutions in the cloud at scale for a technical audience
  • Customer focus. At Cloudflare, we serve the needs of our internal customers large and small, and our product managers need to be comfortable understanding how to design for enterprises without compromising the experience for individuals and individual teams.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both an internal and external audience as appropriate. Able to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with IT, Security, Engineering and other product teams to understand user and business needs, and deliver capabilities and tools of value and work within the constraints of our business.
  • Data-Informed Decision Making: Use data analytics to inform product decisions and measure the impact of new features and improvements.
Responsibilities

As the Product manager for IT Customer Zero, your primary goal is to help improve how IT supports the business building capabilities through use of our products with an emphasis on emergency technologies and automation. You will be responsible for the long-term strategy, roadmap, and delivery of capabilities and tools that enable a good user experience at cloudflare while advocating the adoption of our own products in driving these outcomes. On an average day, you might pitch a concept to senior leadership, collaborate with Security, work with IT to do user experience research, prototype a new feature, iterate on a spec, analyze adoption data, and pair with an engineer on implementation.

  • Own your space: Champion building “Cloudflare on Cloudflare”. We are serious about expanding how we leverage our own products to stitch together compelling experiences, improving enablement with our enterprise tools and data through dogfooding.
  • Connect the pieces. Product managers are a nerve center at Cloudflare, equally responsible for IT for IT, connecting engineering, program management, security, business intelligence, operations , and partners to make sure we as IT have a cohesive approach to enablement.
  • Excel across teams. Enterprise capabilities cut across all of our IT product verticals, so you should be comfortable working with product managers across IT and the company to prioritize systemic improvements that both cloudflare and our enterprise customers need.
  • Be customer obsessed. You will be responsible for directly engaging with stakeholders and understanding what challenges they face and how we can leverage our own products to enable. You’ll bring these insights back to the team to build a great roadmap.
  • Be data driven. You should be comfortable working with data, and analyzing data to quantify the impact of problems and opportunities in your space. As an enablement group, bias for action on enabling our IT stakeholders to achieve success.
  • Pay it forward: Develop and deliver user training programs, provide ongoing support, and partner with product LMS / training teams to dogfood / enable our own training platform(s)
