Location: Gatwick - RH6 0JW, two days per week otherwise remote with travel to aviation and travel sites across the UK, including, Heathrow, London, Luton, Bristol, Manchester, and Liverpool
DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a Senior IT Product Manager – Aviation and Travel. This role is vital for the successful development and management of IT products, product roadmaps and lifecycles within the aviation and travel sector. Involving a hands-on approach, and requiring a balance between product and supplier management, with a focus on internal operations, especially around airline ground handling, aircraft cabin cleaning, airport baggage handling, airport consolidation, and rail catering logistics.

Responsibilities

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will be responsible for:

  • Functional product roadmaps of multiple key software products in conjunction with Suppliers and Product Experts.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for Aviation and Travel IT products based on research, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Engagement with Internal stakeholders and co-ordinate and develop relationships and communication with strategic business partners.
  • Support relationships with external customers as appropriate to support business development and existing operations and work toward the delivery of IT Solutions.
  • Ownership of specified IT products and responsibility to ensure successful implementation to meet business requirements.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers and vendors of multiple software systems, following DHL supplier management practices. Including regular incident management and solutions impacting the products and business reviews.
  • Support Business Development responses, including input into documentation, product selection and costing models. This will include the detailed analysis of any required costings to achieve the overall aim.
  • Managing change programs and strategic initiatives to ensure the strategic roadmap for IT products is fit for the future.
  • The role will manage an IT Specialist focused on achieving Aviation and Travels IT Self-Sufficiency aims.
