Senior IT Project Manager / Integration Lead – Microsoft 365 & M&A | Kanji IT Contract Opportunity | Based in New Zealand Kanji IT is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager / Integration Lead to drive complex Microsoft 365 migration and IT integration programs across New Zealand, with a strong focus on mergers & acquisitions, cloud transformation, and organisational change. This is a senior contract role based in New Zealand, suited to a confident and commercially minded leader who can successfully manage enterprise technology programs in fast-moving and high-change environments while building strong relationships across business and technology teams. Reporting to the PMO Lead in Sydney and the Business Lead in Auckland, you will play a key role in delivering consistent project governance, integration outcomes, and technology transformation initiatives across Australia and New Zealand. About the Role Based in New Zealand, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of Microsoft 365 migration and integration programs aligned to business acquisition timelines and operational priorities. The business is continuing its digital transformation journey, requiring a hands-on project leader who can bring structure, clear communication, and calm leadership through periods of significant change. Key Responsibilities Project & Integration Leadership Lead Microsoft 365 and identity integration programs across Australia and New Zealand Manage IT integration workstreams related to mergers and acquisitions Coordinate multiple projects within a broader program delivery framework Manage vendors and delivery partners to agreed timelines, budget, and quality expectations Microsoft 365 & Cloud Delivery Deliver enterprise-scale migrations across Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and identity platforms Develop migration, coexistence, and cutover strategies aligned with existing architecture standards Ensure security, compliance, and governance requirements are maintained Work closely with specialist vendors and technical partners to deliver successful outcomes Stakeholder & Governance Management Partner with executives and senior stakeholders across business and technology functions Lead governance forums, steering committees, and reporting processes Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders PMO, Reporting & Controls Operate within established PMO governance and delivery frameworks Provide executive-level reporting across milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery status Maintain strong RAID management and proactive escalation processes Change, Adoption & Readiness Support business readiness and change management initiatives Coordinate communications, training, and user adoption activities Assist teams through the transition to new digital platforms and processes About You Essential Experience 5+ years’ experience delivering complex IT programs within medium to large organisations Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 migration projects Strong understanding of cloud identity, security, and data governance Experience working within structured PMO and governance environments Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills Experience working across Agile and Waterfall delivery models Hands-on experience using Jira, Kanban boards, and reporting tools Highly Regarded Experience delivering IT integration programs within M&A environments Cross-border or multi-region project delivery experience Exposure to New Zealand compliance or regulatory environments Microsoft 365 or cloud certifications Formal project management qualifications including PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile certifications Why Join Kanji IT?
