REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• Computer Skills are important, knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook and SharePoint desirable
• Level 5/6/7 Qualification in IT related discipline an advantage but not essential.
• Experience in a production or warehouse role such as the handling and movement of goods along with a keen interest in electronics would be desirable.

THE ROLE:

Working as part of the Operations Team the role involves processing IT equipment for data destruction and refurbishment/recycling. All relevant training will be provided to the successful candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verifying the intake of materials against orders. Itemising and recording each item.
• Dismantling items to remove components for destruction and to facilitate onward recycling.
• Checking items to ensure they are acceptable for processing and isolating any non-conforming waste.
• Use of specialised software to wipe data from IT equipment, re-install operating systems and test the device’s performance.
• Working with other departments and team members as required to fulfil the role.
